This cabochon weighs 25.5 carats and measures 2cm in diameter. It is priced at $6 a carat or $153. It has not been treated and is lightly backed. While much turquoise from China, including Ma’anshan has been stabilized this stone was sold by Ron Alexander to Deanna Olson, co owner of Silver Sun in Santa Fe, when he brought the turquoise to the Us during the early 1990’s. It shows a distinctive green with a hint of blue over a light brown matrix. I have assigned a TG of 80.50 which is High Mid Grade HMG to High Grade HG.
