Red Mountain is one of the classic turquoise mines of Nevada as described by Bob Brucia in his book Turquoise, Jewell of the Southwest. The history of Red Mountain is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
This pair of cabochons weighs 4.4 carats. Each measure about 1cm by .5cm. They would make a wonderful pair of earrings. They are priced at $40 a carat or $176. They are not treated and lightly backed. Bob Brucia bought these from Don Potts. I have graded these at TG 84 or HG High Grade.
