Chinese,Egyptian and Persian Turquoise

Although our focus is on turquoise in America, turquoise from other countries has played a role in our domestic market. Egypt was the origin of turquoise. During the early development of Native American jewelry Persian turquoise played an important commercial role. In Turquoise in America Part Two 1910-1990 we tell how the introduction of Chinese turquoise in the late 1980's impacted the turquoise market.In this video Mike explains some aspects of the different turquoise and we see some beautiful examples.
