Famous Turquoise Mines. Candelaria.

Candelaria differs from most turquoise mines in Nevada in that it has been mined on the private land of a silver mine rather than a located claim on public land.. The only concession ever given was to Wayne Nelson in 1985 and most Candelaria has been obtained by high grading the dumps of the silver mine. Join Mike as he shares a bit of the history and we see some beautiful examples of the very rare high grade Candelaria.

This photo shows the buckle given to Wayne Nelson by NERCO Mining Company when he had the concession at the mine and a large cab of the very rare gem grade dark web Candelaria.
