The story of turquoise in America begins in New Mexico. In Part One The Great American Turquoise Rush 1890-1910 we tell the story, almost forgotten, of how east coast investors attempted to create a pricing cartel to control the turquoise trade. New Mexico was the first area they began mining. In this video Mike tells a bit of the history and we see some wonderful examples of New Mexico turquoise.
