Lone Mountain Part Two

Lee Yazzie buckle with gem grade Lone Mountain. Photo Arland Ben.

Lone Mountain has a treasured history. It is one of the seven classic turquoise mines of Nevada as defined by Bob Brucia. It is one of the oldest and has played an important role in the use of high grade turquoise in Native American jewelry. In this video we see many examples.

Correction to the video. There is no Arland Ben photo of the nuggest necklace in the Turquoise Gallery of Turquoise in America Part Two 1910-1990.
