Apache Blue is the marketing name for the old Turkey Track claim in Esmeralda Co. NV. It has become a sought-out turquoise especially for the higher-grade dark web. A small amount of the GG was marketed as Starburst.
 
This cabochon weighs 8.1 carats and measures 1.75 cm X 1.25cm. It is not treated and was backed with black jade by Rob Stapp. It is priced at $100 a carat or $810. GG Apache Blue is rare and the small amount sold as Starburst among the rarest of all turquoise. I have assigned a TG of 93 or GG. I purchased this stone from Rob Stapp who was representing the miners who said this was their claim. Testing by XRF analyses shows that this is Apache Blue.
