Bisbee is an iconic turquoise mine. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cabochon weighs 24.2 carat and measures 3cm X 1.5cm X 5mm. The turquoise is a very thin layer on the host rock. It is not treated and thinly backed. It is priced at $200 a carat or $4840. This stone was cut by Bruce Mead. I have graded this as TG 95 or GG. This grade of Bisbee was very rare when I purchased the stone from Bruce in 2015. It has become more rare and is a true treasure.
