Bisbee is an iconic turquoise mine. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cabochon weighs 38.1 carat and measures 2.75cm X 2cm X 7mm. It is not treated and thinly backed. It is priced at $180 a carat or $6858. It has a small fissure not visible to the naked eye. This stone was cut by Bruce Mead. I have graded this as TG 95 or GG. This grade of Bisbee was very rare when I purchased the stone from Bruce in 2015. It has become more rare and is a true treasure.
