Blue Wind is a legendary mine of very low production. The story is told in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cabochon weighs 21.1 carat and measures 2.75cm X 2cm X 4mm. The price is $100 a carat or $2100. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 87 or VHG. Blue Wind is among the rarest of all turquoise. I purchased this stone from Bob Johnson and Dixie Edgar. White spot is camera flash.
