Candelaria is turquoise from the Candelaria silver mine located in Mineral County Nevada. It was never located as a turquoise mine. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 8.6 carat and measures 1.5cm X 1.5cm. It is priced at $90 a carat or $774. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 91 or GG. Red web Candelaria is considered the highest grade. I cut this cab from rough I purchased from Bob Brucia.
