Candelaria turquoise comes from the Candelaria silver mine located on the border of Esmeralda and Mineral Counties, Nevada. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cabochon weighs 15.9 carats and measures 2cm X 1.75cm. It is priced at $80 a carat or $1272. It is not treated and is backed. It shows the desirable red web look from Candelaria.I have assigned a TG of 92 or GG. The rough was purchased from Bob Brucia and cut by myself. The white spot is camera flash.
