Carico Lake turquoise is from the Aurora claim located in the Carico Lake Valley of Lander County Nevada. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This pair of cabs weigh 9.5 carats and measure each about 1.5cm X 1cm. They are priced at $50 a carat or $475. They are not treated and are backed. I have assigned a TG of 86 or VHG. These stones come from the Nevada Gem Collection and are pictured in the book Turquoise, Jewell of the Southwest.
