Cheyenne, formerly known as Hidden Treasure and Carrie, has a long history which may be found in Turquoise in America Part Two 1910-1990.
 
This cabochon weighs 17.8 carat and measures 2m X 1.5cm. It is priced at $60 a carat or $1,068. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 92 or GG. I bought this stone from Jesse Robbins, one of the owners of the claim. There has been little recent production and this is among the highest grade. White spot is camera flash.
