Bisbee is the favorite turquoise for many. The story of Bisbee is told in Turquoise in America Part Two 1910-1990. .Donna Mead, wife of the late Bruce Mead, has called this turquoise the “best of the best natural Bisbee”.
 
This cabochon weighs 4.3 carats and measures 1.5cm X 1cm. It is not treated and backed. It is priced at $200 a carat or $860. I have assigned a TG of 94 or GG GemGrade. It was cut by Bruce Mead who sold the stone to me. Bisbee of this grade is exceptionally rare and seldom found in the market.
