Hachita turquoise is from the Little Hatchet Mountains in New Mexico. The story is told in Turquoise in America Part One, The Great American Turquoise Rush, 1890-1910.

This cab weighs 44.5 carat and measures 4.5cm X 2.0cm. It is priced at $10 a carat or $445. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 65 or MG. I purchased the stone from Philip Chambless who mined it at the Gunsight claim, aka Aztec, and cut the stone.
