Hidden Valley was never a named claim and was probably high graded in the Candelaria Hills. It came to market in the mid-seventies and was popular in the early eighties. The story is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 15.5 carat and measures 2cm X 1.5cm X 8mm. It is priced at $10 a carat or $155. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 76 or HMG. I purchased the stone from Wayne Nelson who bought from the miner and cut the cab. Hidden Valley with solid provenance is difficult to find in the market. White spot is camera flash.
