Hidden Valley comes from an unknown mine probably high graded in the Candelaria Hills. The story is found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 34.8 carat and measures 3.5cm X 1.5cm. It is priced at $80 a carat or $2784. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 94 or GG. Turquoise of this grade from any mine is very rare. This grade of Hidden Valley was found in only one large nugget making it among the most rare of all gemstones, and a centerpiece in any collection. This stone was cut by and purchased from Wayne Nelson. White spot is camera flash.
