Red Mountain is one of the classic turquoise mines of Nevada. The history is told in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 3.6 carat and measures 1cm X 1cm. It is priced at $50 a carat or $180. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 80 or HG. I bought this stone from Bob Brucia who purchased from the mine owner Don Potts.White spot is camera flash.
