Red Mountain is one of the classic turquoise mines of Nevada. The history is told in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 8.8 carat and measures 2.5cm X 1.5cm. It is priced at $60 a carat or $528. It is not treated and is backed. I have assigned a TG of 85 or VHG. I bought this stone from Bob Brucia who purchased from the mine owner Don Potts.
