Villa Grove is a famous turquoise mine in Colorado. The story is told in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.
 
This cab weighs 3.4 carats and measures 1.5cm X 1.5cm and is priced at $60 a carat or $222. It is not treated and unbacked. I have assigned a TG of 86 or VHG Very High Grade. This stone comes from the personal collection of Menless Winfield and was purchased from Winfield Trading. Turquoise of this grade from Villa Grove is rare and seldom found in the market.
